Jean Williamson,
Sales Specialist
Jean Williamson has been a resident of Bragg Creek since 1966. She has a background in teaching, the arts, business, western heritage, politics and community work. After 12 years with the Calgary School Board, Jean formed a partnership with Bob Echlin at Elkana Ranch in 1978. Through the doors of Elkana came the cowboys, the ranchers and farmers, oilmen politicians, Native leaders, business owners and most of all, neighbors and friends. From a small training stable the business grew into a recognized western hospitality site, that used to host local, provincial, Canadian and International visitors.
Active in community life, Jean was a founding member of the Bragg Creek Chamber of Commerce and is a Past President. She was president and executive member of the Bragg Creek Ladies Auxiliary for 6 years and Sat on a steering committee for Camp Horizon, the Easter Seal Council and most recently Servants Anonymous Fund Raiser. In Rockyview she was active with the Alberta Southwest Visitors Consortium and served on the Rockyview Tourism Committee. She was active with the Stampede Board and worked with Tourism and Hospitality Events. Also she is a long-standing member of Calgary Chamber of Commerce. To Jean’s credit hang many plaques and accolades from organizations to which she has made a contribution.
Jean is the mother of two married children who were raised in Bragg Creek and still reside in the area. She also is proud of her four grandchildren. Now with time available to dedicate herself, she likes to give back to the community. Jean has the energy, the foresight and most of all the balance of background, personality and temperament to offer clients a professional and knowledgeable service.
